Position Summary: The duties of the Inventory Coordinator are to be performed by demonstrating all of Stan’s Merry Mart’s core values.

The Inventory Coordinator position is responsible for the analysis of inventory performance and reinforces inventory best practices; reduce shrink; assure that inventory adjustments are made correctly; assist with development of inventory related policies, and provide training to ensure procedure’s compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receiving inventory on an as needed basis using the RF gun.
  • Verify integrity and quantities of merchandise as they arrive, versus electronic purchase orders.
  • Work with buyer and assistant buyer to fix any issues with purchase orders.
  • Tag items before they are ready to be merchandised.
  • Shrink Reduction: Monitor shrink reports on a monthly basis with the goal of reducing shrink - Shrink areas to monitor and to coordinate training to address those issues and correct them.
  • Receiving errors; Front-End (cashier mistakes); and Inventory corrections
  • Develop a shrink report to identify high shrink areas and minimize them.
  • Work with management and their cameras to reduce problem areas
  • Review store’s True Outs on a weekly basis using a Compass report to minimize/resolve issues and improve inventory position.
  • Monitor inventory levels on a weekly basis to ensure stores maintain an accuracy level of less than 25 outs per 1000 sq. ft. Assist management team in achieving their goals.
  • Monthly Mango tasks: Communicate with the stores on all Mango related items each month and collect all data from the stores and compile final reports.
  • Monitor the Mango Accuracy Reports on a monthly basis and work with the stores to achieve an accuracy level of 97% or better.
  • Monitor obsolete inventory reports on a monthly basis to reduce dead inventories by a minimum of 10% annually and assist store management with the liquidation process.
  • Reduce x-items by 25% of total X inventory
  • Manage back-stock rooms on a quarterly basis to maintain only polarity A & B items.
  • Report and monitor on a quarterly basis the percentage of inventory invested by popularity code:
  • Green, yellow, and red zones
  • Maintain all location codes accurate, and monitor its status on a quarterly basis
  • Work with Management Team to properly tag items discontinued from the planogram as appropriate on an ongoing basis.
  • Work on discontinued and RCIN reports when report is received.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Conduct business in a moral and ethical way.
  • Knowledge of purchasing & inventory systems.
  • Have a good concept of some management responsibilities.
  • Communicate well with others, and work well as part of a retail team.

Displays and maintains merchandise on end caps, shelves, counters or tables following company plan‐ogram, building displays when necessary to attract customers and promote sales within specified

Maintains on‐hand integrity through inventory adjustment reports including; cycle count, negative onhand. Follows the nightly maintenance checklist to ensure proper store recovery and cleanliness.

Maintains familiarity with new products and ad merchandise.

Has sound awareness of surroundings, customers, etc. and practices loss prevention techniques to minimize shoplifting losses.

Working knowledge of the tools available to operate the store; including, but not limited to: RF Gun, Back Office Procedures and the use of Store Opportunities.

Follows GLA policies and procedures for all transactions. Engages the customer to ensure they are receiving all the benefits of being an Ace Rewards member and actively seeking participation from them.

Job Description:

2nd Shift Warehouse Janitor Schedule: Sunday through Thursdays 2:00pm to 10:30pm

Duties

  • Drives through the facility, dumps trash into containers, compacts/bales trash, and moves bales to storage.
  • Clears cardboard jams in the overhead conveyor.
  • Cleans up all spills.
  • Landscaping, shovels snow, uses snow blower, sweeps walks.
  • Assists battery charging and battery changing in all electrically powered trucks.
  • Perform housekeeping duties, keep floors clean, and keep work areas neat and clean.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shift and hours

The STIHL Shop Supervisor is responsible for the merchandising and maintenance of the STIHL sales area and the organization and maintenance of the STIHL repair shop. The STIHL Shop Supervisor must maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures as outlined by store management.

Job Duties

  • Maintain the STIHL sales and repair department: Keep clean, organized, and fully stocked.
  • Merchandising and keeping up to date on changes to the STIHL sales area.
  • Take the lead with the weekly and seasonal ordering of all STIHL products, working closely with store management.
  • Make suggestions to management regarding new products and new ideas for the STIHL sales area and STIHL repair shop.
  • Assist with special orders for non-stocked STIHL products.
  • Keep up to date on new STIHL products and technology. Attend yearly STIHL update schools and presentations and learning opportunities.
  • Upon accepting this position immediately begin working on achieving STIHL Bronze level status through online training courses, and within your first-year attend and achieve STIHL Silver status.
  • Plan and prepare for achieving STIHL Gold Level status by your third year. This will involve traveling to STIHL USA headquarters in Virginia.
  • Keep the STIHL repair shop clean and safe. Dispose of hazardous materials safely and per state laws. Ensure proper safety procedures are being followed while in the Stihl repair shop, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Be in charge of all chain sharpening services and keep chain sharpening wait times to a reasonable amount of time. Assist other associates in the training for sharpening chains.
  • Maintain the STIHL repair services and work to be efficient and accurate in all STIHL repairs.
  • Provide all shop services as needed, (e.g., repairing chainsaws, trimmers, blowers and all other STIHL products as needed).
  • Learn and understand the Shop repair computer software program and use the program for all repairs. Follow all store procedures for accepting repairs and charging for services.
  • Properly and respectfully keep in contact with our repair customers.
  • Maintain, clean and keep in good working order all machines and computers used in the STIHL repair shop, including Franzen chain sharpening machines, parts washer and specialty STIHL diagnostic tools.
  • Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store management. Move with a sense of urgency while paying attention to the details.
  • Cooperate with others and work well as part of a retail team.
  • Provide the best possible experience for Every Customer, Every Time by being helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.
  • Assist Customers with simple complaints/concerns; get a manager involved with problems as needed.
  • Always be polite and attentive to customers. Make eye contact and smile. Do not avoid customers.
  • Always wear your radio and headset in order to effectively communicate with other associates or management.
  • Assist customers with large or heavy items as needed.
  • Assist in the training and development of peers.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred.
  • Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members.
  • Skilled at providing prompt, friendly and attentive customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills with a passion for details
  • Willing to complete STIHL training (Bronze, Silver, and/or Gold)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The minimum physical requirements for this position include:

  • Ability to stand for an extended period of time, walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties.
  • Move and handle merchandise up to 40 pounds, and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth.
  • Be able to work with fuels and cleaning chemicals.
