Have you got a pizza night coming up this week? Do you need a fantasticpizza dough recipe? You’ve got to try this Thin Crust Pizza dough recipe! This recipe is our go-to recipe when it’s pizza night around these parts. It makes enough for four 10″ – 12″ pizzas so that means two dinners and two lunch leftovers. Mmm, leftover pizza! Whip up the dough in no time then get to work personalizing your pizzas with your favourite toppings.
This dough can also be made by hand or in a stand mixer which is a big plus in my books. I love putting my mixer to work for me!

This is my go to recipe for thin crust pizza, including my spouse’s gluten free one. I use a pre-heated pizza steel at 550⁰, bake it for 2 minutes, then switch to broil for 2 more minutes. Done in 4 minutes!

I like to make everything from scratch but usually shy away from anything involving yeast.
I tried this recipe this past weekend and then discovered my instant yeast was two years old although it was stored in the fridge.
The rise time was more like an hour for me which I suspected was due to the age of my yeast and the cold climate in which I live.
Nevertheless, the pizza crust turned out so well! I can’t wait to use this recipe again! Not too thin and not too thick.
I made two large pizzas from my dough.Reply

We stumbled upon this Gem or a recipe. We LOVE this thin crust recipe. We added corn meal and roasted sesame seeds when rolling it out. Make a great bottom to the crust too. Thanks for sharing your tasty recipe.👍🏻Reply

My dough didn’t rise at all. I had new yeast. Is it no good now or can I still use it.

Yes, you roll out the dough and put your sauce, cheese and toppings on then you bake the pie.

What kind of yeast used? I am assuming it is the instant rise yeast?

Kan de deeg gemaakt worden met zelfrijzend meel. Moet je dan nog gist toevoegen?

How would you freeze this? Keep it in a ball? Make it into a pizza shape? Thanks!

I would freeze it in a ball and then take it out a few hours before you want to use it so it has time to rise. Hope this helps!

Great recipe! This worked incredibly well. I made 2 batches and divided each into 4 and thought they might be individual size. Everyone banged out their own and were around 10″ so everyone had leftovers to take home. For those asking re temp/time, we did 400 with convection for about 15 minutes, until crust was golden. We were able to put through 4 at a time in a regular oven. Everyone commented on how good the crust was and a super fun dinner event. Thanks for a fool proof, quick and easy recipe.
